SPRING INTERNSHIP ROLES

Our Spring Internship will start with an orientation on February 12th from 1 pm – 4 pm, and end the week of May 2nd. All roles start at 4 hours per week. If you’re interested in committing more hours per week, you’ll be considered for leadership roles. Learn more about the roles you could take on below!

Community Engagement
Student Organizing
Fundraising Intern

Shifts & time commitment: Two 2 hr phonebanking shifts/week (remote) OR One 4 hr canvassing shift/week (in person)

 

Location: Remote OR In Person (Poughkeepsie/Kingston)

 

Key tasks/skills developed: Phonebanking or Doorknocking, Deep Canvassing, Familiarity with digital organizing tools, Understanding the political process and issue campaigns, Relational Organizing

Shifts/time: One 2-3 hr shift each week, 1+ hrs of independent work

 

Location: Vassar College Campus OR Marist College Campus OR SUNY New Paltz Campus OR remote

 

Key tasks/skills developed: Campus Canvassing (if in person), Phonebanking, Familiarity with digital organizing tools, Volunteer Engagement, Relational Organizing, Understanding the political process and issue campaigns, and more

Shifts/time: 4 hour weekly commitment — 2 hr meeting, 2 hrs independent work

 

Location: Remote OR In-Person, depending on your location

 

Key tasks/skills developed: Building stronger analysis of For the Many’s work, Recruiting volunteers, Relational organizing, Managing volunteers, Self-management, and Fundraising
