Happy October! 🎃 While Central Hudson keeps raising rates and Trump’s Republican agenda actively harms New Yorkers, we’ve been organizing everyday people to take our power back –– from investor-owned utility companies, at the ballot box, and more.
With just three weeks until Election Day, we are going all out to elect our endorsed candidates so we can win the future we deserve. Keep reading to learn about our latest updates and how you can get involved!
THIS SATURDAY IN NEWBURGH: Join us for a special canvass to elect Lisa Kaul for State Senate featuring Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha! It will take champions in both the Assembly and the Senate to take over Central Hudson and freeze rent upstate –– so we need to show that these are winning issues in the Hudson Valley! Early voting in New York begins on Saturday, October 24. We’re kicking off the weekend with rallies and canvasses in Poughkeepsie and Newburgh to elect champions for public power, rent stabilization, and healthcare for all, like Lisa Kaul for State Senate. We need to make sure everyone who’s already told us they’re excited to vote for Lisa has a plan to show up to the polls!
We’ll hear from some special guests about why they’re excited to support her and then we’ll hit the doors!

Can’t make it on the 24th? We’ve got lots of canvasses and phonebanks coming up in the final stretch between now and Election Day. Take a look at your calendar and make a commitment that feels meaningful to you. Every single shift counts!
We’re able to work on campaigns like these because of the small dollar donations that we raise during our annual grassroots fundraising drives.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to help us collectively raise $200,000 during our one week fundraising drive, December 1-7. Fundraising Volunteers will ask their friends, family, and acquaintances to donate any amount to For the Many so we can fund our transformative organizing work.
