Nia’s Intern Testimony

Nia (she/her), Vassar ’22 – Fundraising Coach

Hi!! I’m Nia (she/her) and I’m currently a Fundraising Coach with For the Many 🤩 I’ve been interning with them for about two years now and have taken on a number of different intern positions. I wanted to start taking direct action outside of Vassar, and For the Many seemed like the way to go! I have taken a lot of joy in connecting with the Poughkeepsie community and helping silenced groups advocate for the well being of themselves and their families.

This organization and the work I’ve done within it has actually helped me decide to pursue studies in Public Health next Fall! Hearing and sharing stories about social injustice in NY has been a humbling experience, and being able to join the fight has made me more confident that we can come together to fight for a better New York ❤️
