We passed Good Cause Eviction in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie within a month of each other! This law will protect renters from unfair rent hikes, evictions, and landlord retaliation. As gentrification prices people out of Hudson Valley cities and homelessness levels rise, this legislation takes real steps to address the housing crisis.
