Tarchithaa’s Intern Testimony

Tarchithaa (she/her), John Jay Senior High School ’20, Fordham ’24 – Student Organizing Intern

As someone who found organizing people in my home of Dutchess County seemingly impossible in the wake of a pandemic, For The Many gave me the opportunity to visualize a future for us all and actively participate in empathy-driven work. Surrounded by people motivated by ideals of securing human rights for every dividend of personhood you could think of, from the youth to the elderly — for the many, if you will — the power that is held by the masses has come into fruition or rather recognition to me. Constant support by my peers here has allowed me to be a better communicator towards the community around me and to work towards changes that are for the people and by the people. The guidance from every person I have engaged with since I began here in early 2021 has made my every action more deliberate. I leave you with a reminder that people’s power will always stand strong in truth, even when momentum seems lost.

WHO WE ARE

COMING TOGETHER TO TRANSFORM NEW YORK.

For too long, greedy corporations, billionaires, and political elites have used their wealth and power to rig our country against us. We’re fighting to put power back in our hands.
