Kingston lawmakers support extension of rent control law

Currently, nine rent regulatory laws are due to expire in New York State. Amidst what Kingston officials and residents alike are calling a housing crisis, the city is looking to voice their support of such bills as the Expansion of the Emergency Tenant Protection Act and prohibition of evictions without ‘good cause.’
