Dear representative, 

The communities we live in are facing multiple crises. Millions of New Yorkers either lack health insurance or are underinsured, preventing them from accessing the care they need. Tenants, homeowners, and small landlords are facing skyrocketing rents and property taxes, forcing our neighbors out. Meanwhile, corporate polluters and utility monopolies are destroying our environment, jacking up our energy bills, and leaving residents without power through irresponsible shutoffs. 

Your constituents need you to support laws that will address these issues, and make New York State work for everyday people, not just the wealthy few. We call on the State Legislature to pass: 

The New York Health Act (S5474/A6058) to guarantee comprehensive healthcare to every New Yorker as a right.

The New York Build Public Renewables Act (S6453/A1466A) to expand public renewable energy production, mandate government buildings get all of their power from renewable sources by 2030, and provide a public option for utilities. 

Good Cause Eviction (S3082/A5573) to protect tenants from arbitrary evictions and predatory rent increases, affirming their basic right to housing.
