The heart of our organization is the thousands of people who turn their anger into action by dedicating their time, energy, and passion to fighting for a world that works for everyone, not just the greedy few. Our student internship allows you to plug into organizing and join our grassroots movement of everyday people fighting to win a New York that works for all of us!
Trump got you down? Have at least 4 hours of free time per week? Want to meet other students and community members interested in fighting for social justice? You can play a key role in this critical moment for housing, climate, immigration, and economic justice.
This Summer, For the Many will be continuing our work to protect our people from Trump’s agenda and fight for the state we all deserve. Whether it’s protecting our immigrant neighbors from Trump’s violent campaign promises, expanding renters protections to cover more tenants, pushing NY state to take over Hudson Valley’s corrupt private utility company so we can have lower rates and greener energy, or building worker power at our local Amazon warehouses students have a high impact role to play!
As a summer intern, you’ll be working on building the movement needed to do this transformative work! Along the way, you’ll gain valuable skills in organizing — from political education, to outreach, to facilitation, to management, and more.
No experience necessary! This is an unpaid role. If you have access funding for internships through your school or other programs we are happy to work with you to secure it.
Our community engagement team plays a key role in our local and statewide advocacy campaigns! You’ll help educate community members about legislation, identify supporters, recruit and mobilize community members, and be a part of building the movement we need to transform New York.
Time Commitment: 4-8 hrs/week, June 11th – August 6th
Location: In person (Poughkeepsie, Kingston, Newburgh) or potentially remote
