Newburgh launches municipal ID program

The City of Newburgh identification cards will be available starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, located at 83 Broadway.

“I’m very confident it will be a smooth launch,” Mayor Torrance Harvey said Monday. “This is something that we all, including the community, fought for and the day has finally come.”

City residents can apply for cards from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Volunteers with the local activist group Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson will be on-hand Tuesday to help residents with translation and filling out applications.
