Landlords’ lawsuit of over Kingston rent rules ‘nonsensical,’ progressive group says
“Kingston’s vacancy study and its conclusions are clearly credible. We’re glad to see (State Supreme Court) Judge David Gandin deny a request for a temporary restraining order, and are confident that the city’s attorneys will ultimately have the case dismissed,” Fernando said. “Landlords are grasping at straws because they know if the members of the Rent Guidelines Board are allowed to complete their work, they will side with tenants and order a rent reduction.”
