20 Endorsed Candidates Win Their Races for Local Office

In November 2025, all of our endorsed candidates won their elections! This included candidates for Dutchess County Legislature, Poughkeepsie Common Council, Poughkeepsie Town Board, Newburgh City Council, Orange County Legislature, Kingston Common Council, Ulster County Legislature, and Hudson Common Council.

These wins helped Democrats flip the Dutchess County Legislature for the first time since 2009!

Over the last few years, having champions in local office has made a huge difference in passing and maintaining tenant protection laws such as Good Cause Eviction and rent stabilization. And there’s more to be done – like passing fare-free buses in Dutchess County and building up local support for a Central Hudson takeover!
