New Paltz’s deputy mayor can’t find a place to live

Wojcik has pushed for a Good Cause Eviction law, organized tenants rights workshops, worked to create more housing, and always includes tenant-landlord rights and resources in the time of COVID in her email signature. She spoke about her housing search last week at a For the Many picnic in Hasbrouck Park and is keenly aware of its irony.

“This is what I have been working on and trying to help people with. It has been really frustrating and wild, and I don’t even know — just all the words, all the feelings,” she said.
