Demonstrators to Hinchey: Support Good Cause Eviction Law

Good Cause Eviction, now the law in Kingston, must be approved on a county and state level. That was the message of several speakers, including tenants and city and county lawmakers, at a rally Tuesday evening in Uptown Kingston.

“Good Cause Eviction gives tenants the grounds to stand against greedy landlords, by protecting them against unfair evictions, like I was almost subject to, and from predatory rent increases, said Isaura Rivera, and impacted Kingston resident and For the Many member. “I am here to fight for a world where my daughters can grow up feeling secure in their homes”.
