Aaron Narraph Fernando (he/him)

Aaron leads For the Many’s top-level communications strategy and messaging, including press and rapid response efforts. He was born and raised in Queens, educated in all public schools from elementary to CUNY. Growing up in a diverse immigrant neighborhood, Aaron has always sought out justice for overlooked communities like his. After the 2020 murder of George Floyd, he created a viral spreadsheet New York politicians taking contributions from law enforcement groups. Two dozen elected officials swore off “cop money” and redistributed more than $67,000 of donations.

Throughout college, Aaron volunteered on various local campaigns, working as field director in a 2021 City Council race. But as much as he adores Queens, Aaron couldn’t help but fall in love with the Hudson Valley the first time he visited Kingston. When he was offered an opportunity in the area as part of For the Many, he didn’t hesitate. You can usually find Aaron knocking doors, biking, drafting tweets, watching Star Trek/Wars, or making a mean spreadsheet—sometimes two at the same time.
