On Tuesday, all twenty of our endorsed candidates won their elections to local offices across the Hudson Valley, and Democrats flipped the Dutchess County Legislature for the first time since 2009!
We have a lot of big plans for 2026, including advancing our tenant protection, immigrant justice, and tax the rich campaigns, and we’re excited to have these champions in office to help get the job done.
One very special shoutout goes to For the Many’s own Political Coordinator, Daniel Atonna, who was elected to the Poughkeepsie Common Council to represent Ward 8. Congratulations Daniel! 🎉🎉

And now for our BIG announcement…
We’re becoming a membership organization! Historically, membership organizations like unions and civil rights groups have been on the forefront of change. Why? Because they have a dedicated base of people who make a commitment to show up again and again until the fight is won.
We’re still encouraging everyone to get involved however they can, with whatever time they have to pitch in, but our membership program creates a formal structure to support folks who want to make a deeper commitment and take on leadership roles. For the Many members will gain deeper insight into our campaign strategy, coaching on how to become effective leaders and organizers, access to members-only merch and events, and more!
Building power at our Poughkeepsie Town Hall in October!
We rolled out the membership program at town halls in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Kingston last week and the response was electric! So far, we’ve had over a hundred people sign up to become members who will help us take our organizing to the next level in 2026.
