Anusha Mehar

Anusha is an artist, organizer, and educator. She grew up in the Hudson Valley and has spent the last decade in Newburgh stewarding youth arts + culture programs, murals, public gardens, and healing spaces. 

Anusha is running for Newburgh City Council to fight for affordable housing, environmental justice, and economic opportunity for all of Newburgh. She supports our Homes Are Not Hotels legislation and opting-in to rent control through the Emergency Tenant Protection Act.
